Labor Story
I always like to hear other peoples stories so I guess I should post some details of mine. I thought I was having contractions all day on Sunday, but I didn't start timing them until 7 that evening when they were 3 minutes apart. We went to the hospital at 9:30 after Troy got to bed and the wonderful Hincheys came to stay with him. I was dilated to a 6, which surprized me. Then things started moving fast. I was an 8 before they gave me an epidural shot which lasted about 20 to 30 minutes and thankfully got me to a 10 before it wore off. I pushed 3 to 5 times, I don't really remember, and Zada was here about an hour and half after we got to the hospital! A more intense, but shorter labor then Troy's.
We are transitioning home today. We asked Troy yesterday if Zada could come live with him, and he said, "No, Troy's house." So wish us luck! We will post more pictures later.

Yes, It Really Is A Girl
Zada Mae Larsen arrived on October 19, 2008 at 10:57 pm. She weighed in at an astounding 9 lbs. 7.5 oz and measured 20 1/2 inches. She and mom are both doing great.

Second Thoughts
I have been having second thoughts about being induced. I am going to wait at least a week to see if this baby will come on her own. My due date isn't until the 22nd, and the whole inducing thing doesn't really sound appealing to me. Am I crazy? I don't know how my body will react since I wasn't induced with Troy. Yes, my hips hurt and I'm uncomfortable, but I will have a sweet baby and a chaotic home soon enough. So sorry to disappoint! You all might have to wait a week or so to see pictures . .mmmm. . .unless I go on my own :)

My Boys
These guys just looked so good Sunday I thought I needed to share a picture! It is impossible to get Troy to just look at the camera. He has to close his eyes to smile! Ted cooperates a little better.
And some GOOD NEWS -I am going to be induced this Saturday! Yippee! I just had to tell my doctor that I didn't want another 9 pound baby. ( Troy was 9 lbs. 3 oz., and only one day early) He said that was a valid concern and he could induce me the end of this week. I didn't have to cry or anything. So if my body reacts well to pitocin, we will have a baby this weekend!

uh-oh
So Ted was giving me a hug today, and Troy came up to him and said, "No, my mommy!" I have never heard him say anything like that before. Perfect timing with this new sibling on the way! This might be really fun!
