Troys B-Day.

Troy started out his birthday opening his present. A scooter! He was excited and tried it out right away.

For lunch we picked up Ted from school, and some grub at Wendy's. Then headed to the park. Zada clearly enjoyed the fries.
After dinner we had a party! Troy has been waiting for this for a long time. He was super excited or maybe hyper is the better word. We had play-doh, bubbles, balloons, and water guns for the kids to play with. Zada had fun playing in the water for the waterguns, and had to be changed into outfit number 4 for the day.
I had made a Lightening McQueen cake the night before. My Mom always made us birthday cakes from different pans (a pony, a bear, etc.) when we were little. I loved it as a kid. And so I have started. It is really easy, but is time consumming. I love the end product though. Happy Birthday, Troy!

Troy is 3!

I look at his newborn pics and wonder how that sweet baby became this handsome little boy?
The last three years have flown by! Troy is now 3 years old. He makes Ted and I laugh everyday with his imagination. He insists on being called Mickey Mouse, or 'Mick'. We hunt lions and hide from monsters a.k.a. Baby Zada. He loves Riding his Bike, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, taking a Bath, Lightening McQueen, Ice cream, anything that involves tackling(this could be football or duck-duck-goose), and his Daddy (or 'Goofy')! He is really Ted's shadow and idolizes him. It's really cute. He is a very good big brother, giving Zada kisses, and sharing his food (even when he's not supposed to!) We love him so much!

4th of July

We had a great, exhausting 4th of July this year. In the morning we loaded up the kids and drove out to Elk River. We hiked to all three of the falls.

The upper falls was our last one. Troy and Ted decided to go swimming. And Troy decided to take all his clothes off for the adventure. His first skinny dip!
Later, we had a BBQ at Bishop Rigby's house. Ted and Troy tried their luck at fishing in his pond, but they weren't biting.
Next came the slip n slide, and once again Troy had no problem taking off all his clothes.

We got our child dressed so he could end the night with a few fireworks. Here are Payton and him cheering for more.

Kamiak Butte

The kids and I hiked up to Kamiak Butte last Saturday with the ward. (Ted had class.) It was good to get out of the house on the weekend even without Ted. Troy did really well hiking the 1/2 mile up and back without complaining.
This is Troy and the Kibbie dome. It's the little silver thing in the background. We are really going to miss how beautiful it is up here!
