My little man

Troy at a few weeks

Troys second birthday is coming up in July. So I thought I would do a post with some pictures of him from the last 22 months, before we head to southern Idaho for the summer. The time has gone by extremely fast. He has grown so much!

It has been a blessing being this sweet little boy's mom! And I'm so grateful to have him.

Family Photos

On Saturday we had a friend, Katy Atkinson, take some family photos. I think they turned out great, even though Troy is not the most cooperative kid. So I wanted to share some!

scrapbooking

Alyssa had a mini class last night, and now I'm going to have to start scrapbooking. I think it's a great idea to display them in frames. I'm just planning on switching mine out. . .mmmm . . every 6 months or something. And maybe I'll craft something a little more permanent, if I get around to it. Thanks Alyssa!

Mel's visit

My sister Melissa came to visit! It was very nice having her around for a week. She probably got bored with us, but Troy likes the extra attention. We went to the appaloosa museum and swimming. The weather was not very nice for her visit, but we did go to the park one day. Troy really got attached to her and cried while calling her name when we dropped her off at the airport. We'll see you in a week Mel!

I know Troy doesn't look happy in this picture, but he really does LOVE to swim!

Tagged

Andrea tagged me so here it is. . .

1. 10 years ago: I was 13 and in the 8th grade. I wore too much make-up. I was full of myself. I had a lot of crushes, and I wanted to be older.

2. 5 things on my to-do list today: exercise, laundry, shop in the big city(Spokane), pick my sister up from the airport, and pick up some pizza for dinner. (this is not a typical day)

3. Snacks I enjoy: cheese sticks, grapes, sun-chips, granola bars, and anything with chocolate.

4. What would you do if you were suddenly a billionaire: Pay tithing, pay-off student loans, buy a car, a house, set up savings accounts for kids college/missions, and retirement etc. . .

5. 5 places I've lived: I've only lived in four places, all in Idaho.

6. 5 jobs: Kathy's Kitchen, Clearwater Nursery, Eagle Rock Nursery, Valley Maintenance, and a Mother.

7. 3 BAD habits: I bite my nails, pick at my split-ends, and blogging way too much.

8. 5 Random things people don't know about me: 1.) I used to ride horses, a lot. It's been a very long time. 2.) I played the bass guitar in high school 3.) I have never colored or highlighted my hair. 4.) I cross stitch 5.) I've never broken a bone.

Sunday Naps

This is what our house looked like on Sunday afternoon for 2 hours. Troy never takes 2 hour naps, except with Dad.

Rodeo and Rocks

We went to a rodeo on Saturday night with the Mathies! We made a stop to throw some rocks in the river, then on to the livestock. Troy was very interested for about 15 minutes. He kept saying 'uh-oh' during the calf roping when they would throw and tie the calves. Then he got bored and wanted to go outside to throw rocks in the parking lot. Apparently he has a thing for rocks.

towels and flour

Troy loves it when Ted swings him around in a towel after his bath. Maybe this should worry me more then it does, but Troy loves it so much! He has such a hard time when it's time to put away the towel and put his pj's on.

The other night Troy decided to help me make dinner. I left the room for 20 seconds and he got right up on the table. He was spooning flour around when I got back.

Nooooooooooo!

This is what it looked like this morning. . . .again. I am so ready for spring to finally be here. Troy is the only one I know that was excited to see 'snow' again this morning. He

ran to the window this morning saying 'know, know!'

Pom-Poms

Today, instead of turning on the TV for Troy during my shower, I decided to get out these craft pom-pom things for Troy to play with. It worked really well as you can tell from the picture. In fact, so well, we had a really hard time putting them away.

Announcing. . .

We are expecting again! I am due in October. We are pretty excited. Luckily, I do not get morning sickness with my pregnancies. (I know many of you hate me) I'm exhausted, and have some frequent headaches, but nothing too serious. I also get somewhat emotional. I knew I was pregnant when I started crying during an Oprah episode the other day. In my defense, it was a really sad story about a little girl with cancer, but I can usually keep it together. I have been craving Mexican food with this pregnancy, don't know why. Chips and salsa are heavenly to me.

We tell Troy that our new baby is in Mommy's tummy and he waves and says 'Hi bebe', but I'm sure it will be quite the shocker for him. They will be 2 years and 3 months apart. Good timing I think, but my opinion could change in October. I think we will be moving him from his crib to his big boy bed this summer, so if any of you have any advice please let me know. I am fearful that he won't lay down if he is not caged in.
