Zada's First Haircut

Grandma Larsen gave Zada her first haircut this week. She sat really well for her after Troy had a little trim and showed her how.
Look how long her hair was!

Zada also had her nails painted after her haircut. She was very proud of them and even showed them off to the little boy in the salon that was waiting for his mom.

Pre-school

Troy started pre-school. He had no problem telling me good-bye on the first day. He loves it and especially loves to ride the bus home. The other day the bus driver pulled up to drop him off and said to me,"You want a panther?" (That is the school mascot.) Troy came off the bus growling. I guess he was a panther the whole way home.

This kid seriously cracks me up. He gave me a compliment the other day when I cleaned up lunch. It went like this. "Thanks Mom. I knew you were silly. But I didn't know you were nice AND silly."

Blog, what blog?

I have a bit to catch up on here it goes.

Troy turned 4! He choose to have a dinosaur cake. We had a party with almost all of the grandparents. He's such a fun little boy and I can't believe he is 4 already. He seriously makes me laugh everyday. For example:

One morning he caught a smell of my morning breath and said, "What's that smell? Is that your blood?"

Or one day when he was using up my masking tape on things and I told him not to waste it. He said, "Mom, do you believe in Jesus? Jesus would share his tape with me."

His presents included Toy Story 2, Buzz and Woody action figures, water toys, cars, and some money.

We celebrated Grandpa Baines birthday by going boating at Arrowrock.

The kids loved the tube, even Zada enjoyed it.

I actually went wakeboarding for the first time in 4+ years. I was only up for probably 10 minutes and I was so sore the next day.

Zada thought it was hilarious when Ted would go under water.

This was also fun.

Troy choose the boat as his fort when the water fight started.

Which may not have been the best spot.

The kids took swimming lessons and loved them.

We also went camping for one hellish night, but hey at least we can say we went, right?

We had a great time during the day. We went fishing,

hiking,

and got dirty.

Aunt Mel came with us. And if she ever does again, I promise to remember the butter and syrup for pancakes. . . .oh and a spatula and mixing bowl.

Ted cooked Troy a hot dog that night over the fire. It was little black when he served it to him and Troy exclaimed, "You killed it, Dad!"

Whew. Anyone still reading?

Circus

I dragged the family out to the circus on my rainy birthday. I even convinced Autumn and Paisley to go, the crazies.
Look at how sweet they girls look. Troy, totally, ruined this picture.

Ted and his girls, they both love him.

And proof that it really was a circus, and we were actually there :) The poor elephants got all wet.

Teton Dam Half

My sister and I ran the Teton Dam Half Marathon a week or so ago. I was slower then last years time, but it felt a lot better!

A month after we moved into our beautiful, new home, Ted got a job offer. We took it for a number of reasons, including pay, benefits, and it's closer to family. It was a hard decision and I'm seriously going to miss our house. We hope it sells soon.

This is the little entryway.

Living Room.
This is my favorite, the kitchen.

Troy's room.

Zada's room.

I had plans for this house (like decorating) but they will be moved on to the next one.
